First things first, what is a coorie?
Coorie (pronounced ku-ri) is a Scots language word meaning to hug or to show love by holding someone close in your arms. It’s also often understood to mean embracing all things Scottish, especially the outdoors. Vogue magazine described it as Scotland’s answer to Hygge. We think it’s a good mix of all those things and perfectly sums up our role in helping couples celebrate their love in Scotland.
We may be bias, but we think Scotland has it all… Mountains & glens, untouched beaches & lochs, ancient castles & forests and stunning urban architecture. Once we’ve helped you find where, you can pick between an interfaith, religious, symbolic or humanist marriage ceremony. And thanks to our super flexible approach to weddings, you can get married literally anywhere, at any time.
We adore elopements and know all the best places for your Scottish adventure. We ensure the day is all about the two of you, and will be by your side every step of the way to create a once in a lifetime experience that is truly intimate & personal. That’s not to say you can’t bring your closest along for the ride, we allow up to 10 guests with our full elopement plan.
Coorie creates the most magical micro weddings, all over Scotland for up to 30 guests! Whether you’re choosing a small wedding to be more intentional with your budget, or you’re feeling the pressure and overwhelm of being centre of attention, we will ensure there is no compromise on your dream and that your day is everything you wish for and more!
We cover the whole of the mainland and some of the Scottish Isles. Our couples have sailed the waters of Mull, meandered through fairytale woodlands, cosied up in Cairngorm cabins, and scaled mountains in the Highlands. We regularly travel from East Coast to West, South to North exploring new venues, finding fresh landscapes and making sure we know all the best places for your celebrations! We can talk you through locations, discuss what works best logistically if you’re bringing guests, and find the perfect place for your vision!

With our full planning service we provide our unlimited time & support via phone, zoom or in person if you’re in Scotland. Our planning process is staggered to avoid overwhelm, with a clear map of tasks to guide you through each stage. We also provide bespoke location scouting, venue & accommodation sourcing, bespoke supplier research & liaison, contract negotiations, budget management, detailed logistical management, full wedding timeline + detailed supplier schedule.

Alternatively, you can use our hourly rate service which clients often use to kick start their planning journey. This option works well for couples that want to be more hands on, or have already organised elements of the day. It’s a very flexible option and we can use the time in a way to suit your requirements.
